dear yelp, this is the best place for local seafood in mt p. sometimes in the spring, you can get softshell crab and it's not even expensive, as mentioned in my original review (reposted below). i'm sorry my irreverence does not humor you; however, i do crack myself up, and at least one of us can laugh. thanks for not reading! sincerely, juliana from a long, long time again, that is, may 1, 2007 have been operating with an estimated 75% lung capacity for almost 24 hours now, and i have to say, the high's pretty nice. here are the various responses: me: *wheezing* i'm having a hard time breathing... my sister: ok. i have to go meet mm for brekkie. see ya! when i told my mom i was having a hard time breathing, she lit a cigarette and offered me a claritin and wine cocktail. (that was actually very helpful. thanks, mom!) while at work, on my way to go paperbag-breathe in the fileroom, i spotted a coworker with that precious of all objects, an inhaler. me: girl, i've never had asthma before...and i just suddenly started having a hard time breathing...can i use your inhaler? coworker: you know, i never had asthma until i got pregnant. maybe you're pregnant. me: oh hell no...you did not just say that. (what is up with my work and babies? they only have one thing on their minds: babies. what in god's name is wrong with these people? oh, and bitch didn't let me use her inhaler. again, wtf?) finally, ind r gave me the best advice: juliana, i think you should go to a smoky bar and play pool. that'll cure you right up. me: yea, i'm doing that tomorrow. ...we'll see how this pans out...did score a free dinner of softshell crab. (you can get them fresh for @$5 each from mt pleasant seafood on shem creek!!) that was the best thing i've ever eaten. guess now i can die happy! that was a joke.

Stopped by to get some fresh fish and scallons for dinner. They were excellent! Very fresh and tender. As expected, the fish is a tad pricey, but it was worth every penny.

Went in December 2014 during the Christmas season. Fresh seafood. As we were traveling, we could only buy cooked shrimps. The shrimps were so fresh, juicy and sweet that we went back the next day to grab another bag before leaving town.

Great spot near the house for some fresh seafood served up by some nice folks. Dropped in today to grab some shrimp that were fresh for dinner. The prices are comparable to most other fresh seafood markets in the area and the staff here is friendly.

Awesome seafood, convenient location. Service was very friendly (and easy on the eyes for this gal) and the space didn't reek of fish (good sign). We got shrimp, key lime pie and crab dip - all were to my utmost satisfaction. As I sat at our beach rental over looking the ocean's cresting waves eating peel and eat shrimp, fresh REAL crab dip lavished on crackers and one heck of a key lime pie for a quarter of the price I would pay at a restaurant, I was one happy lady!

Great local spot to grab the freshest of fresh seafood in Chucktown. Staff is always very helpful...a real no frills-just seafood shop!
